We are the friends and community members from Twin Ponds Lodge, grateful to share 82 beautiful acres and a strong sense of community. The Growing Table is our way of giving back—an idea that’s just beginning to take root, built on hope, teamwork, and the belief that everyone deserves good food and connection.
We’re just getting started—raising funds, making plans, and dreaming big. We’ve broken ground on our very first greenhouse, where seedlings will get their start for our inaugural crops in 2026.

We know not everyone has a community to lean on or land to grow their own food. Food insecurity is real, and we want to be part of the solution—by using what we have to help those who don’t. But we also want to do it the right way: farming in harmony with the land, supporting pollinators, protecting our groundwater, and building soil health for the future.

We’re just getting our hands dirty, but we’re in this for the long haul—growing food, growing community, and growing hope for Maine. Join us as we build something good from the ground up!
The Vision
We see a thriving farm—lush gardens, buzzing apiaries, and happy livestock—tended by our own members, fueled by hard work and plenty of fun. Imagine vegetable and pollinator gardens spread across our 82 acres, all working with the land to produce as much good food as possible. We want to fill local food pantries and banks with fresh, healthy produce, and when it makes sense, raise money for them by selling honey, eggs, seedlings, veggies, and ethically raised local meats.

Our farm will be a living example of sustainability: teaching others how to grow and raise food in harmony with nature, protect pollinators, preserve clean water, and build up the soil for generations to come. Most of all, we’ll lean on each other—because it takes a community to grow something this big and this good.

What's in a name?
The word "growing" reflects the multifaceted nature of the project: the literal growth of food through sustainable farming practices, the growth of knowledge through education, and the growth of community as we address food insecurity and bring people together. It speaks to progress, nourishment, and the future.

The "table" symbolizes unity, inclusivity, and shared purpose. A table is a place where people gather, share meals, exchange ideas, and build connections. It represents the heart of our mission to provide not only food but also a sense of belonging, community and collaboration with our neighbors.
